There are wonderful pictures of a marvellous vegetable garden - just the thing for a day like today when growing anything seems a very long way off!

Oh Katie, I don't know whether to thank you for that, or not. Mind you I know that I couldn't cope with that much land, which surely was a farm/market garden rather than a garden? I'd settle for something the size of an allotment, but just outside the back door

It's lovely , though, isn't it? I think the climate must help a bit!I love his statement about what better way to spend your life than to nourish the soil and feel people.
