Just out of idle curiosity, has anybody here ever bought a property through E-Bay, especially overseas?
As usual the listings seem to be packed full of Bulgarian derelict places offered by agents who can't even pay for web hosting so 99% of the pictures are missing bause they have exceeded their free bandwidth.
Looks like a scenario where only fools rush in..............

I do know of a couple local to me who have sold TWO properties on ebay, although it was a few years - 3 or 4 I think. (and possibly a third as her mother was widowed and wanted to sell her house too).
He was a builder, just "selling their own house" but the local notaire apparently warned them that one more house and he would consider them to be professionals and therefore operating a business and they would be taxed accordingly.
Anyway, the point is that yes, they definitely sold 2 on ebay - one property, the guy bought it sight unseen! But, as I said, it was a few years ago when property here was zinging.

I know a number of people that sell Bulgarian properties on eBay, one or two reputable firms, one a complete dodgy out fit. I personally have a property listed for sale on ebay. It is a definite renovation project but only has starting bid of ?999. I know one company that buy up cheap properties like this from desperate sellers (will buy anything for immediate 1000 E so long as has building of some description on a plot) and then they sell on, on ebay.
Not sure whether it is true to say lot of these agents can't afford hosting fees and pictures not showing. Seems an issue with ebay showing various photos - I had the same this morning when posting my advert. Will show some pictures, not others.
Most of the properties for sale cheaply in Bulgaria on ebay are in the north which is not one of the best areas to buy a very poor, agricultural area.
I know a number of people that have bought off eBay. So long as you are aware that for anything under 5000 Euros it is not going to be in a great area and is going to need serious work, then you can get a real bargain.
